My mother-in-law needed a new PC due to Windows 7 deprecation. When I bought the computer I assumed it had a mini display port on it which I had an adapter for. Needless to say I needed something else that provided VGA output so I bought this adapter which was substantially cheaper than anyplace local had (Best Buy adapter was $59?). I connected the adapter to my old 20 VGA monitor and it worked great. When I moved it to her old computers monitor (22 widescreen VGA) it had no issues. So far very happy!

Plug and play no added software needed. You do need a VGA Cable in order to achieve the desired output to your monitor/TV. I was a bit skeptical at first but once I read the description I felt assured that this was just what I was looking for.
