The Display Port to Display Port cable that came with my 4k monitor did not work with my HP Omen and RTX 2080 card. This Rankie cable accurately converts the Display Port from the video card to the secondary HDMI port on the monitor. and retains the full 4k resolution and accurate color..Wonderful!

I had to suddenly work from home and the cable was useful to add a second monitor to my work station. I got it surprisingly fast even with all shutdowns we are facing in Canada due to Covin-19. The quality is good and there is warranty instructions in the box

I’m betting that many have a mish-mash of different generation monitors. I had a VGA HDMI and most recently a new DP type monitor. If you still have a VGA it’s probably time to trash it and spend the ~$125 for a newer one. I had a Samsung monitor that is only 2 years old with the HDMI port. Looking at the local Best Buys Micro Centers etc… was fruitless. Within seconds this took care of the HDMI-DP need to my new docking station. It actually took more time crawling underneath my desk to reconnect the power cord.
