The 6 feet cable connects a DisplayPort / DisplayPort++ (DP/DP++) enabled computer to an HDTV, monitor, and projector with HDMI input for audio and video streaming. (Note: NOT bi-directional. Only converts signal from DP to HDMI)

The DP connector has a latch to provide secure connection with the port. Press the latch down before unplugging the connector

Display Port to HDMI. Commercial computers still use a “display port” for 1080p video and sound. Not HDMI in shape. Looks like it. but it is a different connector type that click-locks into the PC when installed correctly. Designed to stay connected in connector. Cable was fitted to an HDMI port connector for a new video monitor with HDMI only.

The DisplayPort to HDMI cable just worked! I just plugged the DisplayPort end into the back of the Docking station/Port replicator and the other end into the HDMI input which connects to a projector and then I turned on the computer. The login screen showed up on my primary monitor and the extended desktop was displayed on the projector. The cable was able to transmit both Video and Audio . It worked perfectly without having to do anything else like update the computer bios/firmware or video drivers.

Does exactly what I need it to and I have had zero issues so far. Only had the product for a week so can”t speak to longevity but the product does come with a warranty. Not sure how long the warranty is though. 5/5 so far.

It”s a digital cable. It works as well as any other cable but for less. The product is higher quality than expected and I got it quickly.The first one was lost by the USPS or sent back by them. The second took a day.

I just got a new Dell desktop and the performance of the computer was astounding. Unfortunately though the video card only supported HDMI and DisplayPort. None of my three monitors had DP connections so a solution was needed. The new Rankie cables did the trick and within minutes of the delivery it was working perfectly running the extra monitors. Plug it in and it just works. I like that I didn”t have to fool with adapters as this cable plugs in directly to the computer and monitor. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to tap into the convenience of having multiple monitors.
