The DP connector has a latch to provide secure connection with the port. Press the latch down before unplugging the connector

My HDMI out on the laptop started flaking out luckily I had a display port available. So I bought this cable and it works great at full 4k resolutions. It also seems to be detecting the connection and full resolution more quickly than the HDMI to HDMI ever did. I am completely satisfied.
