Rankie DisplayPort (DP) to DVI Cable, Gold Plated
Description
The 6 feet cable connects a DisplayPort / DisplayPort++ (DP / DP++) equipped laptop or desktop to a monitor or projector with DVI input. (Note: NOT bi-directional, only transmits from DP to DVI)
Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and improve the signal transmission. The braided foil shielding reduces interference, and bare copper conductors enhance transmission performance
Supports video resolutions up to 1920×1200 / 1080P (Full HD)
The DP connector has a latch to provide secure connection with the port. Press the latch down before unplugging the connector
Suitable for Extended Desktop or Mirrored Displays. Customer service from Rankie

I needed this to be able to stop my monitor from having to be over the other one. my previous cable was to short. This one is perfect and the quality is great.

I had no idea what a displayport was until I got a new computer and I found this weird looking almost-hdmi-but-not port on the video card. I had to google it to figure out what it was!.I’m too cheap for a new monitor and a pigtail with a heavy adapter hanging off the end was going to look sloppy. not to mention I wasn’t sure how the port would hold up with all that weight hanging off it..Fortunately. this cable was about the same price. is easier to route than my old DVI cable. and works perfectly. Can’t ask for a better solution.

Not much to say about this sort of thing – it’s a great cable. has been transferring video for a few weeks now without a hitch. Approximately 1/4″ thick. plenty flexible. not too stiff. DVI plug is about as narrow as you can make it. DP plug lock in snugly. My setup has it so that the DP (the narrow side. with the one corner missing) is connected to my computer and the DVI (the wide side. with the pins) is connected to my monitor..If you need a DP to DVI cable. this works.

Does what it says on the tin. Solidly built cables. good positive connections. Definitely will buy again if I need more.

I had bought a OEM cable at Factory Direct as I initially had time constraints – that failed miserably as the danged thing wasn”t recognized by the teleworking device I was using (dual-monitor setup at home). Ordered this from plugged it in and it was immediately recognized. Worked great yesterday. Straightforward and simple I like it.
