This item really protects my iPad. Lid closed it shuts off. lid open it comes to life again. I drop it. and most likely it will cushion the shock. Folded. it allows me to set my iPad on a table to watch a video or whatever.

Fits my new iPad perfectly. Shuts of screen when it closes and turns it back on when the cover is opened. Very lightweight. Not sure about the durability or protection against dropping. but for the price. it’s very good. For my phone I have a much heavier duty case since I carry it around more and am more likely to drop it. For the iPad I wanted something very light.
