This is a sizeable desktop calculator. with a large easy-to-read 12-digit screen. It is dual-powered. with a single removable AA battery (not supplied) and a tiny integrated solar panel. Although small. the panel is sufficiently powerful to operate the calculator under moderate daylight or a lamp (without the battery). The unit provides simple functions. including memory. percentages and ‘mark-up’* buttons. It will power-off by itself. but (and this is exciting) it has separate ON and OFF buttons! Not only that. but there’s also a ‘backspace’ key! How brilliant is that..* The ‘mark-up’ or MU button is effectively a way of finding the ‘opposite’ of a percentage. The method using the calculator is as follows….Enter a number (A)..Press divide key..Enter a percentage (B)..Press ‘MU’ key..The result will be a new number (C). which when B% of itself is deducted. will give the original number (A)..Note that the percentage function uses a similar method. but employs the multiplication and % keys.

Lost my calculator after having it for 38 years God knows where it went. So I searched and decided on this as I liked the display and the fact that there were different colours so it would be easy to know which button was pressing. Really good I like it a lot and would definitely recommend. Do note that solar power is backup and you do need to use one battery
