I don’t always like the automatic turn on or shut off the screen when you open the cover. Sometimes I want to close the cover. write down a note and then open it back up. but with the auto off/on feature. I have to again swipe up and enter my PIN again before I can resume reading. The cover is thin. but has enough stiffness to hold the Kindle Fire at a reading angle for hands free reading when you have a table or desktop to use.
